Birthday weekend round up.
As many of my friends know, it was my birthday last Friday.

So we decided to head off to carlo's at Colne for a nice family meal. The meal was of course lovely as is ALL Italian food. Especially Carlo's cannelloni. Saturday I got up early and went to put my bet on the grand national our yearly horse race. I chose ornais but it fell and died
and kevin, the bloody Jammy git got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd horses and the 4th and 5th at work. Jammy Jammy git! He bought me some charms for my pandora bracelet of which he got me last year.

So on Saturday night we decided not to go out, but get a takeaway, a few cans and watch inception with the lovely Leonardo DiCaprio
. Kevin had a pizza and a couple of sheesh kebabs whilst I had a couple of sheesh kebabs too and a chicken balti. Yesterday we had a trip over to matalan where I got a couple of vests for my holidays. Oh and I finally got the most gorgeous bag I'm the world.....

On my list at number 5 is write a short story. Well I've already got ideas in my head for plots and a sort of storyline. But what I want to know is what sort of story would you guys write?
Thriller, Crime, Romance, RomCom or something else? What are your ideas for a story that you think would make a good plt for a story? Who are your favourite authors?
My favourite authors are Harlan Coben, Richard Laymon, Stephen King, Josie Lloyd, Christina Jones.

A Tweleve Things update
twelvethings-i-want-to-do - I want to try and lose weight before my 33rd Birthday a week tomorrow. I can't believe how fast it has come round. Anyway as far as losing weight goes, Wednesday afternoons going for a cappucino and a nosey around the shops, has turned into something of a weekly ritual (providing I am not working.) for myself and my mom.
So yesterday we headed back to Bury (home of the famous Bury Black Pudding) as momhad some things to take back. So there we were in Primani (aka Primark), I had seen two rather cute tops that I liked and proceeded to try them both on. Now usually I take a size 16 (your size 12, I think.) topwise. But this one was huge. I could get two of me in this. I do like my tops baggy though, not too baggy, but just baggy enough so that it doesn't cling. So the only other option was to go a size smaller to a 14. This one fit perfectly as did another top (also a size 14) that I chose. Hopefully I'll post some pictures of the tops either on or off later.

Unhappy Bunny
I'm Not a very happy bunny today. We went to Boundary Mill (all desginer bags such as Radley, Nica, Ri2K etc and clothes all at upto 50% cheaper) and I saw a gorgeous Gracie Mae hobo style handbag in black with a cute floral scarf attached to it. I can't post a picture because I can't find one and didn't think to take one last night. I am so in love with that bag.

My Love Story
I don't think I've ever shared my story of how Kevin and I first met.
Well here it is. Kevin worked with a friend of mine and I was round at her house one afternoon when Kevin came round to drop off some dvd's for her. I'd met him a few times before but never really fancied him or anything. I'd thought he was ok, not good looking in a Brad Pitt sort of a way but he had something about him.
Anyway a week later, my friend's sister was getting engaged and throwing a party. Kevin came along with his friend and I thought nothing of it until he offered to buy me a drink. I said no because I was driving and didn't want another one, but Kevin persisted and I eventually allowed him to buy me a coke. (yes a coke). Eventually I got ready to go and Kevin asked me if he could have my number, so I gave it to him. He called the next day to see if I wanted to go out for something to eat the following Saturday.
After a few dates, I decided that I wasn't really ready for a relationship, but Kevin seemed so nice and I told him that I wanted to just take things as they come and see how it goes. We finally started seeing each other properly in Septemeber 2006, then when we had been together for only 6 months I had went to Australia to visit my Gran and other relatives. I rang kevin nearly everyday because I missed him so much. It was a test of the relationship. I'll tell you now though, that my being in Australia for a month made us both realise just how much we wanted to be with each other and we've been together ever since. So that's four and a half years almost.
I want to finish off by saying "Happy Valentine's Day Kevin. I love you more and more with every passing day. "

Things I Love about the weekends.
1. Having a Lie in. This was actually in Salou in 2009, but I'm on the bed, so technically it still counts.
2. Being with my gorgeous man.
3. The prospect of being able to wear cute little summer dresses like this one I have soon. (I don't actually have a picture of it yet, but once I do I'll post it up.) But I'd love one of these.
4. Having a nice soak in the bath(awkwardly in a small bath I might add) with Kevin.
5. Hot Cappucino with not much froth. I normally have my cappucino from Costa.
6. Chilling out with my new book; Gok Wan's Autobiography.

Sara's Healthy Menu's - Monday 10 January 2011
It's been a week since 2010 ended and 2011 began, I thought it would be nice to update you on how my new year resolutions have been going.
1 Drink more water. I've been sipping at a 50cl bottle of volvic on a daily basis.
2. I need to get fit. (I know this wasn't included, but it needs to be). As of tonight, I am going to jump on the Orbitrek Cross trainer for at least 20minutes. I want to get rid of my flabby, fat belly, that makes me look like I am 7 Months pregnant. I can't wear tight fitting tops, Well I can but they don't look right with my fat sticking out all over the place. So as of today menus will consist of:
Breakfast for Monday 10 January - 1 Bowl of Kellogs Special K with skimmed milk. 1 Cup of Tea with Skimmed Milk.
Lunch for Monday 10 January - 1 glass of either Fresh Orange Juice or a cup of Green Tea. Soup and a sandwich with Ham and salad.
Dinner for Monday 10 January. 1 Glass of water. 1 Jacket potato with either cottage cheese and baked beans. Scampi and brown rice with lots of vegetables.
Snacks for Monday 10 January. I do not normally snack in between meals. If I do it will be fruit from now on.

16 Days of Blogging - Days 11 - 16
16 Days of Blogging - 16 Day Challenge.
Day 11 – What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
If I found out I was pregnant I would of course have to keep it. I'd never dream of aborting a life. Unless I knew that I would never be able to support the child financially.
Day 12 – The reason you believe you’re still alive today.
Because I have always been lucky enough to have a Guardian Angel in the form of My dear Grandad Hawil to watch over me.
Day 13 – A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough days.
Any Artist or song that reminds me of Laird Kevin or has the ability to be able to chill me out is good enough for me.
Day 14 – Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.
I regret leaving such a good job at Marks and Spencers.
Day 15 – A letter to yourself, tell yourself ANYTHING you think you should know about your life.
Dear Sara Pilling
Make the most of your life....You just never know. Go back to school and learn something new about yourself...
Day 16 – What is in your bag?
My handbag at the moment has allsorts in it. Alien perfume by Thierry Mulger, Some cotton gloves for my always cold hands. 2 purses. One for my cards and notes, the other for loose change. A couple of pens, a hairbrush, my 2011 diary. Bits of makeup. My headphones. My spare phone. My iPhone.

Quite a few times, Yes. But I have always found the strength to keep going, because I know that there are a lot of people around me who would miss me and love me too much.

16 Day Blogging Challenge - Day 8.
Day 08 – Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit.
There's a few people I'd like to name and shame...I won't mention their names but if they were reading this, then they'd KNOW who they are.
Firstly is an ex of mine. We had been out with mutual friends to celebrate their engagement. I unfortunately got pulled by the police. I had not been drinking, they thought I had and arrested me. My ex was never the same around me after that night. I have only seen him twice since that night four years ago.
Secondly is an ex supervisor of mine. She was a real cow with me and I was secretly pleased when she ended up having a nervous breakdown a couple of months after she left.

Day 05 – Something you hope to do in your life.
There's a few things I hope to do in my life. But I'll only list a couple here for now.
Firstly is to have the opportunity to buy myself a DSLR and develop my love of photography further.
Secondly, I'd love to have the opportunity to go to New York and San Francisco.
Simples.

Errrm I suppose I could say I forgive Kevin for being so cranky and uptight recently, due to the amout of stress he's been under at work. Plus he's just found out that he has a trapped nerve in his neck, which makes it the more worse for my poor baby.

40 things...
I will be 33 on my next birthday. Each week I will be posing a new venture or hobby that I want to either learn or master before my 40th birthday.
1. I want to write a book. I don't have any plans to become an award winning author or anything like that. I just want to write a book. I don't know if I am as creative as JK Rowling or Stephen King, I think you do need a very vivid imagination for something like this.
Give me your thoughts and ideas for a fun and interesting story.

Music be the food of love
Here's a few songs that remind of certain places and people.
Snow Patrol - Chasing cars. This is mine and Kevin's song. It will always be our song as it reminds me of the time just after we got together and were on a trip out with his brother and girlfriend. We both started singing it and had tears in our eyes afterwards. So it will always be OUR song - no matter what.
Journey - Don't Stop Believing. This reminds of when Kevin was in the process of looking for a flat. I had every belief that he would get one and when he did, this song sprang to my mind.
Anything by Savage Garden will always remind me of the wonderful holidays in Australia with my grandma, aunties Linda, Susie and Uncle Edward and Nichola along with my four beautiful cousins, Caroline, Christina, Joshua and Caitlin (who i've still to meet!)

Blog Update
I know I've neglected you the past three weeks. We had a fire at the factory so everything has been a lil up in the air and I've not had the time to blog, seeing that there has been so much to sort out.
The factory is now back up and running, thanks to getting a generator, but I'm still working from home because the phone lines have not been connected yet. I'm getting really annoyed and frustrated because of this and I think that if I don't find another job soon or the offices aren't restored I'm going to go nuts.
I don't just mean nuts, I mean like really nuts!

101 Things update.
I thought I should give you all an update on how my 101 things in 1001 days project is going.
Tonight I'm off to see SATC2 with my mom and her friend Kathy. So tomorrow will see a quick review.
One of my things to do was to sell stuff on ebay, well thats been accomplished, seeing I've sold two items already. Next to sell are some manchester United books, that were my brothers. He doesn't want them so ebay it is!
Lastly, I said I wanted to do more with my iPhone, and it's been quite productive, I've so far learned how to use my own wallpaper within a theme and customise my standard message tone.

FlogYoBlog #1
Hey all,
It's Friday, my favourite day!
I was feeling a little sad yesterday, seeing I was supposed to see my lovely man after a long day at work. Then he texts me to say he just wants to have a bath and chill in bed, whilst watching TV. Anyway, he can make up for it tonight!
Anyways....
Flogging. Let's do it.....
But first the rules. Read them up and then link it up.
1.Follow my blog. (if you haven't already done so).
2.Grab my bubbly button and post it on your sidebar.
3.Link your Blog Name and URL below.
4.Add a short description (max of 125 chars). It could be a description of yourself, your blog or a teaser to your latest post.
5.Follow at least 1 linkyer/blogger (Pay it forward is the name of the game).
6.The list will be open for linkyers on Fridays (I've extended the closing time by the way, to accommodate my non-aussie peeps).
7.A new and fresh link list will open every Friday. And you will have to link up AGAIN. The previous link list does not carry over to the following week.
8.And lastly, have lotsa fun.

About The Project
I am participating in the dayzeroproject.com which is a unique challenge that inspires you to set and achieve your personal goals in life.
The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
Here is my list (still in process of creation):
1. Identify 100 things that make me happy. (20/100)
2. Write a letter to myself to open in 10 years.
3. Drink water everyday for a month.
4. Donate blood.
5. Bake a pie for Kevin.

9. Enter a photography contest.
10. Find a new job.Completed 12.4.10
11. Own an iPhone. Completed 22.11.09

New Job
I start a new Job next week. So I wont be blogging as much as usual. I'll probably even be too tired to blog at all when I come home at night.
If you fancy doing a guest blog for me, then please do. I'm thinking Summer Theme. What do you most look forward to when Summer arrives. What/where is your favourite vacation spot? What do you like to do when it's summer vacation? Where are you going for your vacation?
If you wish to guest blog for me, please email me. Sarapilling1978@googlemail.com. I will only require two guest posts a week, as that's probably all I will have time to publish.

What Right Now?
I am thinking... that I need to sort my things out for Monday. I start a new job next week.
I am thankful for... my health this week.
From the kitchen... Probably a baked potato for lunch with some cottage cheese.
I am wearing... Jeans, an fcuk t-shirt, v-neck jumper and hoodie. It's cold here today!!!!
I am creating... a list of people to invite to the secret flat warming I'm planning for kev at the end of the month.
I am going....to make another cup of tea. I like my brews.
I am reading... this blog.
I am hoping..that Kev's flat will be ready for this weekend so we can share it.
I am hearing... the electric fan heater making a rackety noise.
Around the house... I love the smell of clean cotton Yankee Candles. Kev's getting the candle treatment when I'm at the flat!
One of my favorite things... is chilling out in my bed...not sleeping but just lying in it, watching tv or a dvd.
A few plans for the rest of the week...Work tomorrow, hopefully will get to spend friday with Kev, getting his flat ready. Saturday Enjoying Kev's flat and the football. Sunday, indulging in easter eggs.
A picture to share...

Getting to know Me.
1 - Why did you start blogging?
I used to have a photoblog, but didn't really update it much, then I decided that I wanted to start an online journal and blogging seemed the perfect way to achieve this....
2 - Who's the one blog friend that you would want to meet most in "real life"?
All of them!
3 - Why are you always concerned with losing that "extra 10 pounds" when chances are your husband/boyfriend/friends tell you that you look just fine the way you are?
Because I wanna do it for me, I often think that people will take you more seriously if you are slim and take care of your body.
4 - What's the one thing you wish guys could understand about you?
That I don't like being pressured into doing something. I will do it in my own time.
5 - Tattoos. How many do you have and how many are visible when you wear your "everyday" clothes?
I don't have any tattoos.
6 - What was the best year of your life and why?
I will have to say 2006, because that's the year I met my wonderful fiance Kevin.
7 - Name three things you would do if you were a man for one day.
I wouldn't want to be a man for a day. I'm quite happy being a woman at the moment.
8 - What's your alcoholic drink of choice that usually raises a few eyebrows?
There isn't one really.
