Don't deprive me of my precious sleep anymore!

When I said that I thought Spring was finally here last week, I lied.

What we have had so far this week has been nothing but rain and wind and more rain and more wind. Yesterday the wind started out as nothing but a gentle breeze, but by the time I had gotten home from work it had escalated into full blown gales.

Now we have an awning on the side of our house and when it's really windy this will bang against the side of the house. It's not just a gentle banging, something that you can just about put up with, it's more of a horrible rattling banging noise. It's a horrible sound.
Most of all it deprives me of my sleep. Keeping me awake all night!

Is it spring yet?

Here is the view from the window at work. It wont stay like this for long though.

Week of Surprises

Kevin and Mark pose for the camera.
The last week has been wonderful. The sun has been out and I have felt great. It's amazing how the sun can make a difference and I feel full of life and beans (Which will bring me to the second part of this blog.)
The picture above was taken a few months ago at Kev's brother's girlfriend's, Mum's, boyfriends (complicated I know - Lol)40th birthday. I have edited it a little and put it Kevin on my cell as a wallpaper.

Anyway last week I applied for a job as an administrator at an Aerospace company. I was fortunate enough to get an interview today. So hopefully I will see something of an outcome. This week will be somewhat tough, as Kevin is away Thursday and Friday with work so I wont see him until Saturday :-( But then we wont be doing anything saturday night as we both want to be up early on sunday morning to watch the Australian grand Prix.

Now as many people know I like my food, when I was in California visiting my Aunt and Uncle a few years ago we went to one of my favourite restaurants whilst in Fallbrook. Acapulco One of my favorite mexican side dishes has to be re-fried beans or frijoles refritos
I also enjoyed the tacos
We went a few times after Uncle had finished work on a friday night.

A few days later we ended up going to Las Vegas We never actually stayed in Vegas this time. We stayed at a hotel which was around 10 minutes drive from the centre. We left my Aunty's house and went to Denny's for one of their fantastic breakfasts. This one had the works. Egg, Bacon, Sausage, Fried mushroom and bread, beans and tomatoes, hash brown and pancakes. So that set us up for our trip. Whilst we were there we hardly went to McD's, we mostly went to Jack in the Box
My favorite Jack's burger is definitely The homestyle chicken on sourdough bread. or the Burger also on Sourdough.

I love Jack in the Box. It's just a shame we don't have them here in England. I'd be there every weekend for a Sourdough Homestyle Chicken or Club Sandwich.

Toodles for now xxxx
