Subject: Fw: Re: FW: Senior Citizen with new BMW Z4

A senior citizen bought a brand new BMW Z4 convertible and drove it out of the salesroom.

Taking off down the motorway, he floored it to 120mph; enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.

”Amazing!" he thought as he flew down the M4, enjoying pushing the pedal to the metal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a police car behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring.

"I can get away from him - no problem!" thought the elderly nutcase as he floored it to 140mph, then 150 then 160.

Suddenly, he thought, "What on earth am I doing? I'm too old for this nonsense!"

So he pulled over to the side of the road and waited for the police car to catch up with him.

Pulling in behind him, the police officer walked up to the driver's side of the BMW, looked at his watch and said, ”Sir, my shift ends in 10 minutes. Today is Friday and I'm taking off for the weekend. If you can give me a reason why you were speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The old man, looked very seriously at the policeman and replied, "Years ago my wife ran off with a policeman. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, Sir", said the policeman.

5 Things that made me laugh...

They always say that it's good to have a laugh....

So here's 5 things that have made me laugh over the past week.

  1. Kirsty "The Pregnant Psycho" on Coronation Street, threatening Tina with a Ketchup bottle.
  2. The stupid wagon driver trying to back out of our yard this morning, after realizing that he had been sent to the wrong place...D'oh.
  3. Kevin, my wonderful fella. He always knows how to make me laugh.
  4. Ivan - One of our customers at work, he's always going on about Crab but yet hates them.
  5. The Desk Calendar Quote "There is plenty of room at the top - but not to sit down."
What has made you laugh, either today or over the last week?

Thirty-Something Ramblings - Blog Stars

Mrs. Monologues

Me and The other half.
Welcome to Thirty-Something Rambling's.  I'm Sara, the author of this blog. Thanks for stopping by for Blog Star! If this is your first time around the block, we will forgive you and quickly get you up to speed. Blog Star occurs the first Tuesday of each month.

So now that you know who I am, I can introduce myself properly. I'm a thirty-something woman with a love for blogging (although I don't always blog everyday!), reading, writing, photography and all things technical. I'd kill to own an Apple Mac! I'm engaged to my lovely man, Kevin, with whom I have been with for almost six years now - It's our anniversary on 22nd of this month! We have set a date (well say set, but it's not exact...) for 21st June 2014. I had hoped to get married next year, but my brother beat me to it and now they get married in April next year....Grrrrr!

At the moment we don't have any children of either human or fur kind. Kevin hates cats, so I doubt we would get a cat anytime soon. But he does love dogs, but having a dog move into his flat (which I hope to share with him when we get married!) would increase his rent by £100 a month, so we will have to do without.

Kev is a Transport Compliance Manager and I'm an Administrative Assistant, Kev and I met through a friend with whom Kev used to work with. They became good friends (Kev get's on with almost everyone, there aren't many people he doesn't get on with, except for a couple of people from work).

He asked me for my number at this friend's sister's engagement do and after a couple of weeks of serious phone text flirting, we decided to go out on a date. The rest is history. Kev's funny, loyal and knows how to make me laugh. He's still a big kid really. I love him to bits.

So now that you know who I am, I hope that you will join my site and keep up to date with what's going on in my life.....I would love you to link to your site using the form below.

Top Five Dog Breeds

My Top Five Favorite Dog Breeds.

A Chocolate or Black Labrador - I have always liked this breed of dog. They are so boisterous, yet so very loyal.

A Jack Russell - Often seen as a troublemaker among other dogs - sometimes vicious but extremely loyal - Kevin said he'd have a Jack Russell if we got a dog together.

A Staffordshire Bull Terrier - often these dogs are said to be nasty, they're usually associated with Chavs and lads with hoodies here in the UK, but if treated right and bred as they should be, they are wonderful dogs. Kevin had one - Tiny until his death in 2003. His brother, Carl also had a little Staffy - Sasha. She was such a sweetie. They didn't bother getting another one.

Chiuaha's have always been a favourite breed, these cute little dogs are often seen peeking out of a celebrities handbag. The white ones are my fav.

The Border Terrier - I don't quite know why I like these dogs, their coat is quite rough and wiry. They usually always have such a cute face though. Maybe that's why I like them.

Make up savvy's final day

Well today marks the last day of fee's nail art challenge. Here's what I decided to go with for today's theme of anything. Something nice and simple. For the base I used a random bronze varnish that I found in my mums nail varnish box and the white tips on my thumb and ring finger were created by pink tease white nail art pen. The finishing glittery touches was created by pink tease silver glitter. As you can see I'm still learning. Hope you like.

Wow ! Collection 2000 - Primed & Ready Soothing Make-up Primer

I have to admit that I've been looking for something of a decent primer for ages and saw this in my local Asda for the bargain price of £5. So I snapped this baby up and proceeded to use it on Friday night. Let's just say that I thought it was amazing. Like sheer silk in a tube. My skin feels soft and silky after applying it and foundation goes on flawlessly.

I'll definitely be stocking up on this.

The silky formula with a light coverage for a flawless complexion and a noticeably natural finish.

never having enough money, this has always been on of my biggest fears.

Recipe Share.

I saw this on Ree's blog and just had to share it. I know I've neglected my blog recently, but I've been so busy with work and other things, I just haven't had the time to blog. I hope some of you will try it. I know I will certainly be trying it at some point this weekend.

Make-Ahead Muffin Melts

I'm interrupting my normal posting schedule to bring you what I think is a recipe goldmine...the make-ahead muffin melt.  First I must disclose a few things.  First, I'm absolutely crazy for English muffins.  They're right up there on my list of top ten things I like to eat.  Next, I must let you know that I love all breakfast foods.  Breakfast is my all-time favorite! Last but not least, even though I do love to cook and spend countless hours in the kitchen, sometimes I just like to be lazy.  Hence my love for all things simple, easy, effortless, and of course all things make-ahead.  If none of these things appeal to you then you will most definitely not be as excited about this recipe as I am.

This little muffin melt probably doesn't look like much, but it's one of my favorite food discoveries this year.  In fact, I was going to share this recipe in my upcoming The Pioneer Woman Cooks cookbook review, but I really felt like this recipe deserved a post of it's own.
Hardboiled eggs, chopped bacon, mayo, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire, and cheese
In my house we like to procrastinate.  We sleep in until the last possible second, leaving little time for a home cooked breakfast.  Usually in the mornings my kids only have time for cereal or (gasp) instant grits.  This is where this recipe comes in.  These little muffin melts are heartier and healthier than cereal, but they are also just as quick and just as easy as pouring a bowl of cereal.  Best of all, you can totally eat these on the go whereas you definitely can't eat cereal on the go.

Basically this recipe is a customizable egg spread that can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.  When you're hungry for breakfast you simply take the egg spread out of the fridge and smear it on a English muffin.  Then you slide the muffin under the broiler and broil for 3-4 minutes until it gets all bubbly and golden.  The end result is a hot and hearty breakfast in minutes. The English muffin gets kinda crispy, as does the top of the muffin melt, but the interior of the melt is creamy and delicious. It's literally perfect on-the-go breakfast food.  Perfect to make for kids before school.  Perfect to make for hubbies who are eating on the go.  Perfect to make for a Mom who has absolutely no time for herself.  Perfect.
Who doesn't have time to take a bowl out of the fridge and smear this on an English muffin?

The other reason I love this recipe is because you can customize it to suit your tastes/needs.  There really is no end to the possibilities here.  Don't want bacon?  Add ham, or sausage, or even chorizo.  Want to cut back on fat?  Leave out the egg yolks, use reduced fat mayo, and/or cut back on the cheese.  You'd never notice the changes.  Maybe you want a vegetarian option?  Forget the meat and add in scallions, peppers, onions, spinach, tomatoes, etc.  Don't like English muffins?  Opt for bagels, a biscuit half, or just plain regular white bread.  You could literally make a different option every week.  I don't know about you all, but I like things that are easy and I always like having options.  To me this is something worth getting excited about.
Make-Ahead Muffin Melts
Adapted from The Pioneer Woman Cooks
by Ree Drummond
Serves 6-12, depending on serving size

12 slices bacon
12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
1 cup real mayo
1 heaping tablespoon Dijon mustard, or more to taste
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
5 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
6 English muffins, split

Fry the bacon until crisp.  Use a knife to chop it up, then put it somewhere safe so your family won't wolf it down (I cut the bacon into lardons/slices prior to cooking it.  I think it cooks faster and easier that way).  Peel the hard-boiled eggs.  Then give them a rough chop.  Add the cheese, the chopped bacon, and the mayo to a bowl.  Next add the Dijon mustard, the garlic powder and the Worcestershire sauce.  Fold all the ingredients together, then give it a taste.  Add more of whatever you think it needs.

Preheat your oven's broiler to low.  Spread a good amount of the spread onto the halved English muffins.  Place them on the lower rack of the oven and broil them for 3-4 minutes, being careful not to burn them.  The topping should be hot and the cheese should be melted.
If you're looking for breakfast options, please give these a try!

Expect a glowing review of Ree's new book The Pioneer Woman Cookssoon!
