New Camera - New Year Resolution
Mum and dad bought me this for Christmas. I've always had an interest in photography. I think I have my cousin Andrew to blame for it. I remember us going down to London a few years ago to visit him. I had just bought myself a new Digital Compact - The Canon Ixus 30. The Canon's first proper outing. We headed off into the city, Andrew promptly set about showing me how to capture some terrific shots. Over the years I have yearned to finally purchase either a bridge camera or a full DSLR and now that the gorgeous Fujifilm Finepix
S3200 has come into my life I do actually plan in getting out there and photographing the world around me. I'd like to try my hand at landscapes and wildlife. Although an upcoming trend at the moment is this so called "Street Photography".
So hopefully the blog will be updated more. Besides blogging every other day is going to be one of my new years resolutions. Take Care Peeps and Gapoy Blogging.

Happy New Year!
Here is my first post of 2012. Had a rather good night last night and didn't have a hangover at all this morning despite mixing my drinks. The disaronno and lemonade that Mr Killian bought us was rather lush and im tempted to have it as my new drink but considered that its quite expensive.
Kevin and I were a bit bored earlier and decided to go for a drive round town in our pyjamas, well I was in my pyjamas and emu boots with my coat on. I must have looked a real sight. Good job we were only in the car and driving round! We must be wrong in the head!

On the Move
My lovely Kevin gets his keys for his new flat on Monday. He has been wanting to move from his current residence now for a while. It was ok when he first moved in, but now it's just full of druggies and knobheads.
The new pad is a ground floor flat, tastefully decorated with two bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, bathroom and living room. It's in a nice area of Burnley, close to the spar shop and his mums. Of course I won't be moving in with his lordship. I can't afford to on my measly wage! I just wish the miserable cow would give me more hours. It seems the fucking asians are getting more shifts than me and it's just not fair!

- Black Lace-Have a Screw (x-rated version of Agadoo).

Writing Group
I've recently joined a writing group. We meet every Monday night at a Local public house. Most of the members are teachers or ex-teachers. Many of them are a lot older than myself, to be honest, I think I am the youngest member of the group at just 33.
I must say that it's actually quite good fun, listening to the others and hearing their work. One of the group, Michael is a very keen Sci-Fi fan. I admit that I quite liked his little play that he had written about two kids who had never really spoken but went to the same school. Hopefully now that I have joined this group I should be on here a lot more. If you want to learn more about who we are and what we do, then please visit our website. Pennine Ink.

Friday's Photoshoot
I had a photo shoot last Friday, Kevin had bought it for me for valentine's day and I'd only just gotten round to going. I had hoped to go for my birthday but they were fully booked for that day. When I arrived, I was asked to fill out a form, describing how I wanted to look. I opted for the Cheryl Cole look, as I think she's one of the most beautiful women around at the moment.
Then I was treated to a glass of wine and a mini-manicure. Next came the hair, and the make-up. Then it was off to change and have some photos taken.
Here are a couple of photos from the day.

Twelve Things Tuesday Update
12 Things
Here's this weeks.
1. Lose at least 14lbs before 8 April. Obviously this is being carried over until July 24. I hope to have lost at least 42lbs by July 24, for my holiday. It's going ok. Just not as well as I'd hoped it would though. I've just downloaded an app, on my iPhone called BootCamp. You can chose the area you wish to work on and exercise for around 20mins. I'm going to give the abs and cardio workouts a go.

Lucky ring
Is it possible for a ring to be considered lucky? I ask this because last night at kevin's I was watching my beloved Manchester united take on Chelsea in the quarter final 2nd leg of the champions league. They were fortunate to have already scored a crucial away goal at Stamford bridge and looked to be cruising after scoring at home. Then Chelsea equalised and dominated most of the 2nd half. Now for the reason behind the lucky ring

This ring once belonged to my beloved grandad Hawil, my mum gave it to me when he died in 1998, it's inscribed with his initials "HS". I consider it lucky because whenever mark (kevin's) brother Is at his flat to watch man u they most usually get beat or draw. Perhaps this ring has lucky powers or something like that........

Both these products are amazing. They're a bit pricey at £62.00 and £37.00 but well worth it. The foundation was a gift from my lovely mom for my birthday. I haven't tried it yet seeing I still have some of my clarins foundation left. As for the lip balm, well lets just say that I'm going to get some before I go away on my holidays in July. it has a lovely eucalyptusy flavour and smell to it. I love it.

A Tweleve Things update
twelvethings-i-want-to-do - I want to try and lose weight before my 33rd Birthday a week tomorrow. I can't believe how fast it has come round. Anyway as far as losing weight goes, Wednesday afternoons going for a cappucino and a nosey around the shops, has turned into something of a weekly ritual (providing I am not working.) for myself and my mom.
So yesterday we headed back to Bury (home of the famous Bury Black Pudding) as momhad some things to take back. So there we were in Primani (aka Primark), I had seen two rather cute tops that I liked and proceeded to try them both on. Now usually I take a size 16 (your size 12, I think.) topwise. But this one was huge. I could get two of me in this. I do like my tops baggy though, not too baggy, but just baggy enough so that it doesn't cling. So the only other option was to go a size smaller to a 14. This one fit perfectly as did another top (also a size 14) that I chose. Hopefully I'll post some pictures of the tops either on or off later.

Unhappy Bunny
I'm Not a very happy bunny today. We went to Boundary Mill (all desginer bags such as Radley, Nica, Ri2K etc and clothes all at upto 50% cheaper) and I saw a gorgeous Gracie Mae hobo style handbag in black with a cute floral scarf attached to it. I can't post a picture because I can't find one and didn't think to take one last night. I am so in love with that bag.

My Love Story
I don't think I've ever shared my story of how Kevin and I first met.
Well here it is. Kevin worked with a friend of mine and I was round at her house one afternoon when Kevin came round to drop off some dvd's for her. I'd met him a few times before but never really fancied him or anything. I'd thought he was ok, not good looking in a Brad Pitt sort of a way but he had something about him.
Anyway a week later, my friend's sister was getting engaged and throwing a party. Kevin came along with his friend and I thought nothing of it until he offered to buy me a drink. I said no because I was driving and didn't want another one, but Kevin persisted and I eventually allowed him to buy me a coke. (yes a coke). Eventually I got ready to go and Kevin asked me if he could have my number, so I gave it to him. He called the next day to see if I wanted to go out for something to eat the following Saturday.
After a few dates, I decided that I wasn't really ready for a relationship, but Kevin seemed so nice and I told him that I wanted to just take things as they come and see how it goes. We finally started seeing each other properly in Septemeber 2006, then when we had been together for only 6 months I had went to Australia to visit my Gran and other relatives. I rang kevin nearly everyday because I missed him so much. It was a test of the relationship. I'll tell you now though, that my being in Australia for a month made us both realise just how much we wanted to be with each other and we've been together ever since. So that's four and a half years almost.
I want to finish off by saying "Happy Valentine's Day Kevin. I love you more and more with every passing day. "

Things I Love about the weekends.
1. Having a Lie in. This was actually in Salou in 2009, but I'm on the bed, so technically it still counts.
2. Being with my gorgeous man.
3. The prospect of being able to wear cute little summer dresses like this one I have soon. (I don't actually have a picture of it yet, but once I do I'll post it up.) But I'd love one of these.
4. Having a nice soak in the bath(awkwardly in a small bath I might add) with Kevin.
5. Hot Cappucino with not much froth. I normally have my cappucino from Costa.
6. Chilling out with my new book; Gok Wan's Autobiography.

Sara's Healthy Menu's - Monday 10 January 2011
It's been a week since 2010 ended and 2011 began, I thought it would be nice to update you on how my new year resolutions have been going.
1 Drink more water. I've been sipping at a 50cl bottle of volvic on a daily basis.
2. I need to get fit. (I know this wasn't included, but it needs to be). As of tonight, I am going to jump on the Orbitrek Cross trainer for at least 20minutes. I want to get rid of my flabby, fat belly, that makes me look like I am 7 Months pregnant. I can't wear tight fitting tops, Well I can but they don't look right with my fat sticking out all over the place. So as of today menus will consist of:
Breakfast for Monday 10 January - 1 Bowl of Kellogs Special K with skimmed milk. 1 Cup of Tea with Skimmed Milk.
Lunch for Monday 10 January - 1 glass of either Fresh Orange Juice or a cup of Green Tea. Soup and a sandwich with Ham and salad.
Dinner for Monday 10 January. 1 Glass of water. 1 Jacket potato with either cottage cheese and baked beans. Scampi and brown rice with lots of vegetables.
Snacks for Monday 10 January. I do not normally snack in between meals. If I do it will be fruit from now on.

16 Days of Blogging - Days 11 - 16
16 Days of Blogging - 16 Day Challenge.
Day 11 – What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
If I found out I was pregnant I would of course have to keep it. I'd never dream of aborting a life. Unless I knew that I would never be able to support the child financially.
Day 12 – The reason you believe you’re still alive today.
Because I have always been lucky enough to have a Guardian Angel in the form of My dear Grandad Hawil to watch over me.
Day 13 – A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough days.
Any Artist or song that reminds me of Laird Kevin or has the ability to be able to chill me out is good enough for me.
Day 14 – Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.
I regret leaving such a good job at Marks and Spencers.
Day 15 – A letter to yourself, tell yourself ANYTHING you think you should know about your life.
Dear Sara Pilling
Make the most of your life....You just never know. Go back to school and learn something new about yourself...
Day 16 – What is in your bag?
My handbag at the moment has allsorts in it. Alien perfume by Thierry Mulger, Some cotton gloves for my always cold hands. 2 purses. One for my cards and notes, the other for loose change. A couple of pens, a hairbrush, my 2011 diary. Bits of makeup. My headphones. My spare phone. My iPhone.

16 Days of Blogging - Day 10
Day 10 – Have you ever thought about giving up on life?
Quite a few times, Yes. But I have always found the strength to keep going, because I know that there are a lot of people around me who would miss me and love me too much.

Human -Killers
Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol
Don't Stop Believing - Journey
Because of You - Gabrielle
Out of Reach - Gabrielle
Hungry Eyes - Eric Carmen
Crash & Burn - Savage Garden
Right Here Waiting - Richard Marx
The reasons why I chose ALL these songs are simple. I listen to these a lot when I'm missing my wonderful Laird Kevin.

16 Day Blogging Challenge - Day 8.
Day 08 – Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit.
There's a few people I'd like to name and shame...I won't mention their names but if they were reading this, then they'd KNOW who they are.
Firstly is an ex of mine. We had been out with mutual friends to celebrate their engagement. I unfortunately got pulled by the police. I had not been drinking, they thought I had and arrested me. My ex was never the same around me after that night. I have only seen him twice since that night four years ago.
Secondly is an ex supervisor of mine. She was a real cow with me and I was secretly pleased when she ended up having a nervous breakdown a couple of months after she left.
