Top Ten Tuesday?
Ok so it's Tuesday but I'm afraid I don't have anything for my Top Ten this week. I could do a Top Ten computer games but that would be geekish in my opinion. On the other hand...my top ten Nintendo DS Games.
1. Pokemon Diamond - I'm actually playing this at the moment and it's completely addictive. I want a Pikachu. At the moment I have a little Turtwig.
2. Probably have to say Mario Kart for DS. It's totally addictive and easier to control on the DS than it is on the Wii. (Yes I finally bought myself a Wii!)
3. Spanish Coach for Ds.
4. Super Mario 64. The classic Mario game on the Ds.
5. Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. I love this game. I want it for the Wii as well. Borrowed my friend Nick's and was on it last night until 3am!!!!
6. Pokemon Pearl. Not as addictive as the Diamond but still as good.
7. Street Fighter - I love this game.
My Brother has a newer pc version. It reminds me of the days when we had our old Commodore Amiga 500...lol. 80's eat your heart out!!!

9. Football Manager. I've had 2006, 2007 and currently 2008. I'd really like 2010 as it's much faster and the graphic are better.
10. Lemmings. Good Old Lemmings on the Amiga. Can't beat those cute little guys.

I Want Wednesday
As I didn't do an I Want Wednesday last week, I guess I will have to make up for it with this weeks.
Firstly I have just heard about this from a fellow blogger.
This is about the pre-Sex & The City Carrie, which is going to be pretty exciting to read about.
The book will focus on Carrie's first love, and focusing on the incident between the character and her mother.
Release Date: April 27, 2010. Over the next twelve months I have decided to start reading more and making the time to chill out and read. I think this will prove something of a good place to start, as I love watching Sex & The City.
Next I am going to buy some cinnamon sticks and make some of these gorgeous candles and maybe give them to people as a cute little gift.
Add spice to a gift of plain votives with cinnamon sticks. Using a hot-glue gun, adhere sticks to glass. Then encircle with ribbon in earthy colors, such as sage and burnt amber.
I'd love to make some of these for Kevin's new pad (when he eventually gets it!!!) I hope he likes them.
Polka-Dot Pillows

Trace a glass, compact disc, or quarter or silver dollar; or use your computer to make paper patterns for circles of different sizes. Cut out patterns, pin to the fabric, and every polka dot will be perfect.
Use a whipstitch around the edge of fabric that won't unravel, such as the wool felt dots seen here.
These will make a lovely personal touch present for my Gran.
To create these linen-covered journals, you will need a hardcover journal or notebook, preshrunk linen, needle and thread, and a length of 3/4-inch ribbon long enough to go all the way around the journal plus 12 inches extra.
Instructions:
1. Lay the open, flat journal on the fabric, allowing 1/2 inch all around for hems and about 3 inches at each side for the pocket flaps. Center the journal on the fabric and mark where the top and bottom of the covers start and finish, from end to end.
2. Cut a 1/2-inch vertical slit at each point, fold the fabric twice, and hem.
3. Make a double hem along each end of the cover. Neatly hem all around the fabric, mitering the corners.
4. Place the fabric right side up with the journal on top of it, fold over the flaps, and pin them in position. Remove the journal and sew the top and bottom of the flaps securely.
5. Turn the cover right side out and fit it on the journal. Cut a length of ribbon, fold it in half lengthwise to mark the center, and stitch it securely to the center of the spine to bind book.
Festive Pillow
I love this. It looks great as it is, but I'm thinking maybe golds and reds would also look nice. If I make one for myself though, it will have to be purple!!!
Make one of these snowflake-embellished pillows for a friend or yourself! First, purchase a finished pillow. With a pencil, lightly draw a star crystal on the front. With a needle and craft thread, sew beads, alternating long and short, directly over your outline.
Sparkly Snowflake
This sparkly snowflake is so quick to assemble, you'll want to make dozens, for gifts, cards, favors, and, of course, the holiday tree. It just requires a wire snowflake form, beads, and a dab of hot glue on each leg to affix the beads. Read on for instructions.
BEADS: To get the look on these pages, choose clear glass beads, in round and long shapes. Or choose two colors from your holiday palette -- say, bronze and gold, for dramatic effect.
TEMPLATES: Purchase wire forms for snowflakes at Websites such as fusionbeads.com. A quick search on Google for "snowflake," "stocking," and other holiday motifs will yield free patterns you can print yourself.
CRAFT WIRE and felt are available at craft stores, too.
Polka-Dot Pincushion

A pincushion is an easy and practical first project. Take two 4 1/2-inch squares of muslin, decorate one with polka dots, sew the cushion together, and stuff it.
Yellow Polka-Dot Dress - This is absolutely gorgeous. I am in Love already! It's perfect for holidays in Turkey next year!!!
Never underestimate the beauty of the simple straight stitch! Use paper circles, pinned on the fabric, as a guide. Stitch around the circumference to make perfectly round dots, like on this slip. I suppose you don't have to use Yellow either...I'll bet any summery colour will look just as gorgeous.
Patchwork Throw
A throw blanket is a necessity in your home just as your favorite cookie is with a cup of hot tea. These are simple comforts you deserve. This throw blanket is simple and quick to make for moderate to advanced quilters. I love this.
Your design: "Even a beginning quilter can't go wrong with this pattern," says Amy. Indeed, it offers a number of easy options for color and construction that will help you personalize your throw.
Above ( I'll add this later) is a striped design for the back. "You have the choice of making a solid-color backing, which would take less time," explains Amy. "Having a striped back, though, gives the throw added life and variety."
SUPPLIES
* Sewing machine
* Iron
PATCHWORK HOW-TO
1. Choosing fabrics: Pick fabrics you like but try to vary dramatic scales of patterns to keep the design more interesting, energetic, and fun. Choose vintage fabrics that are medium-weight and in good condition.
2. Prewash and press: Wash fabrics before cutting your pieces to reduce shrinkage issues later on. Iron fabrics to reduce wrinkles, stretching, and to allow smoother cutting.
3. Layout: To create rhythm and a colorful flow within your design, arrange fabrics before pinning to assure proper balance.
4. Pinning: Pin fabrics together in sections and rows. Larger strips are more practical and make the project easier to come back to.
Yo-Yo Projects- These are so cute and would look gorgeous on one of my cardigans like this.
Yo-yos can become enchanting accents for your favorite accessories — they'll also liven up your living space. Sew them to kitchen curtains and pillows, or glue them to a terra-cotta flowerpot for an extra bit of bloom.
Yo-yos were a popular style of quilting in the 1920s, '30s, and '40s, and are thought to have been inspired by the toy of the same name. Quilters liked them because they could carry yo-yos in a pocket and then work on them in their spare time.
Make your own yo-yos in three simple steps.
STEP 1 On underside of fabric, trace a circular object twice the size of your intended yo-yo, adding 1/2 inch for seam allowance.
STEP 2 Cut out fabric circle; fold edge under 1/4 inch. Using a running stitch, sew along the edge of the circle, leaving a tail of thread.
STEP 3 Gently pull on thread until the edges gather in the center. Secure gathers with a few stitches, then knot thread and cut.
So as you can see I'm going to (try) and get evtremely busy over the coming winter months.

Top Ten Tuesday
It's getting closer to Christmas and of course it means I'll be ending up having to work either Boxing Day or New years Eve. I refuse to work Boxing Day. I never used to work it at M&S so why should It be any different in this job? I've already decided which dates I want to book off....
Anyway Top Ten Tuesday.
My top ten Blogs that I love to read.
1. On an Island in The Sun - I Love your Music Mondays and Tasty Tuesdays
2. Sassy Sasha - Such a wonderful dog.
3. Oh Mishka - Inspirational on the days when I feel down.
4. Novelista Barista - I love the pictures and just about everything else too.
5. Crystal Jigsaw - It's such a nice thing to know that you spent most of your childhood not too far away from me and I love reading about your life on that haunted farm in northumberland.
6. Greek Tragedy - Need I say anything more about this woman? Fantastic.
7. Madness and Beauty - I loved following your travels around Middle East, far East and Australia. Just wished you could have had more time in my beloved Melbourne.
8. Dawn - Such a fun blog to read. Nice to remember things that have happened each day.
9. Crummy Mummy - I like this because I know how hard it is raising a child in today's economy and this blog just makes me laugh.
10. K13 - Your Blog has inspired me to invest in a pair of decent Nike Sneakers and take up running. I'm almost always checking in to see how you've been doing in your latest runs.
10a. The Gold Puppy - Love the pictures that Reya puts in her blog. Seeing new things everyday in and around washington dc is just wonderful.
I admit I do love all of the blogs that I am currently following but I can't include them all in my top ten or I'd be here forever!!!

Ear Suture
I apologise for not doing an I Want Wednesday yesterday. Reason for this is because I had an attack of nerves. Butterflies even. I went to have my ear suture done last night. Here's an outline of what it involves:
EASY WEIGHT LOSS
In 1978, once Dr. Landale had found the path that allowed patients to quit smoking he persevered for another 10 months searching for the path that would allow patients to achieve easy weight loss.
A method that does not involve diet but allows patients to eat small amounts of food without feeling hungry, yet also be satisfied with the amount of food eaten.
Weight loss can be rapid with no loss of energy and no threat to your health.
You are given a 35 minute lecture in order to get the best results from the treatment. A suture similar to the one developed for the quit smoking programme will then be fitted and you can begin to use it the following day.
The rules are of course very simple and with hardly any effort you will soon be losing weight faster than you ever thought possible.
So from today I will be using this everyday, reducing the amount of food that I eat, simply by tickling (as doctor landale puts it) the small suture that you can't see unless you look into my left ear, for thirty seconds, between five and forty five minutes before I eat anything. I will also be weighing myself every week. At present I'm just under 14stones which is about 196Lbs. Ideally I want to weigh about 10.5 Stones or 11stones. (140 Lbs) I have a picture on my phone of what I used to look like, of which I will post later on when I have more time. I will try and keep you updated with my progess, ideally over the next 12 weeks.

Top Ten Tuesday
I'm a bit stuck for what to do for this week's Top Ten Tuesday. I was thinking top ten music videos...but I don't think I've got ten to share! But here goes. Most of the videos are from you tube so they will probably not be available to view on here. Sorry guys.... :-(
1. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars. This is my favourite music video. So it's only natural I'd have it for my number 1.
2. Kings of Leon - Use Somebody.
3. Bon Jovi - Livin' on A Prayer. This song takes me back to the 80's. It makes me feel like a kid everytime I hear it.
4. Michael Jackson - Black or White. The king of Pop. I love the part of the video where Macauly Culkin says "Eat this!" and his dad goes flying out of the roof of the house in his armchair. Classic.
5. Michael Jackson - Beat It. Another classic Michael Jackson song.
6. Bon Jovi - Never Say Goodbye.
7. Bon Jovi - I'll Be There For You.
8. Cheryl Cole - Fight For this Love. I love Cheryl Cole's new song, she's come such a long way from her days when she was known as Cheryl Tweedy. And the fact that she's married to one of the hottest footballer's in the country is one of the reasons why I think she's one of my favourite celebrities.
9 . Alexandra Burke - Bad Boys. This song says it all really about us girls...why do we always fall for those Bad Boys?
10. The Killers - Human. This is the song that's got me into the Killers. I never really liked them until I heard this and now it's a firm favourite on my Itunes Play lists.
Next Week I'm hopefully going to list my Top Ten Albums.

Thursday Thoughts.
Thursday Thoughts and Quotes.
"You will never win if you never begin."
"To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition."
I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, just thinking about everyday things such as money, work and other things that are important in my life. I've not really been thinking too much about my relationships though as my love life is just about perfect right now.
I'm thinking about money and work, mostly. Money worries aren't too bad at the moment really. I'm going to put together a list of people whom I have to buy Christmas Presents for and then at least I can sort out my budget and see what I have left for going out and enjoying myself over Christmas.
Then after Christmas I'll be starting the job hunt again. It's really getting to me at the moment. I'm starting to get bored in my current job at the shop and I feel as though I need a change. Maybe staying in retail and moving within a different area. Say Telecommunications or something along those lines.
Things surrounding money will also need to be looked at after Christmas too. Seeing as Kevin is moving out after Christmas. Or at least he says he is. This, if it does actually happen will mean that I will be able to stay at his house when we go out and I wont have to keep ringing mother to come pick me up. It will give Kevin and myself chance to spend time together during the day too rather than just at weekend.
It will also save us both some money too!

I Want Wednesday
There's not really much on my list this week, so I think it might be pointless publishing it. But what the heck. Three Items. Here goes.
I have had a nintendo ds now for some time. I am always looking out for new games so here's a few I want.
