Twelve Things Tuesday Update

12 Things

Here's this weeks.

1. Lose at least 14lbs before 8 April. Obviously this is being carried over until July 24. I hope to have lost at least 42lbs by July 24, for my holiday. It's going ok. Just not as well as I'd hoped it would though. I've just downloaded an app, on my iPhone called BootCamp.  You can chose the area you wish to work on and exercise for around 20mins. I'm going to give the abs and cardio workouts a go.

Lucky ring

Is it possible for a ring to be considered lucky? I ask this because last night at kevin's I was watching my beloved Manchester united take on Chelsea in the quarter final 2nd leg of the champions league. They were fortunate to have already scored a crucial away goal at Stamford bridge and looked to be cruising after scoring at home. Then Chelsea equalised and dominated most of the 2nd half. Now for the reason behind the lucky ring

This ring once belonged to my beloved grandad Hawil, my mum gave it to me when he died in 1998, it's inscribed with his initials "HS". I consider it lucky because whenever mark (kevin's) brother Is at his flat to watch man u they most usually get beat or draw. Perhaps this ring has lucky powers or something like that........

http://www.cremedelamer.co.uk/templates/products/sp_shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT5574&PRODUCT_ID=PROD73454

Both these products are amazing. They're a bit pricey at £62.00 and £37.00 but well worth it. The foundation was a gift from my lovely mom for my birthday. I haven't tried it yet seeing I still have some of my clarins foundation left. As for the lip balm, well lets just say that I'm going to get some before I go away on my holidays in July. it has a lovely eucalyptusy flavour and smell to it. I love it.

Birthday weekend round up.

As many of my friends know, it was my birthday last Friday.

So we decided to head off to carlo's at Colne for a nice family meal. The meal was of course lovely as is ALL Italian food. Especially Carlo's cannelloni. Saturday I got up early and went to put my bet on the grand national our yearly horse race. I chose ornais but it fell and died and kevin, the bloody Jammy git got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd horses and the 4th and 5th at work. Jammy Jammy git! He bought me some charms for my pandora bracelet of which he got me last year.

So on Saturday night we decided not to go out, but get a takeaway, a few cans and watch inception with the lovely Leonardo DiCaprio . Kevin had a pizza and a couple of sheesh kebabs whilst I had a couple of sheesh kebabs too and a chicken balti. Yesterday we had a trip over to matalan where I got a couple of vests for my holidays. Oh and I finally got the most gorgeous bag I'm the world.....

A Tweleve Things update

twelvethings-i-want-to-do - I want to try and lose weight before my 33rd Birthday a week tomorrow. I can't believe how fast it has come round. Anyway as far as losing weight goes, Wednesday afternoons going for a cappucino and a nosey around the shops,  has turned into something of a weekly ritual (providing I am not working.) for myself and my mom.

So yesterday we headed back to Bury (home of the famous Bury Black Pudding) as momhad some things to take back. So there we were in Primani (aka Primark), I had seen two rather cute tops that I liked and proceeded to try them both on. Now usually I take a size 16 (your size 12, I think.) topwise. But this one was huge. I could get two of me in this. I do like my tops baggy though, not too baggy, but just baggy enough so that it doesn't cling. So the only other option was to go a size smaller to a 14. This one fit perfectly as did another top (also a size 14) that I chose. Hopefully I'll post some pictures of the tops either on or off later.

Unhappy Bunny

I'm Not a very happy bunny today. We went to Boundary Mill (all desginer bags such as Radley, Nica, Ri2K etc and clothes all at upto 50% cheaper) and I saw a gorgeous Gracie Mae hobo style handbag in black with a cute floral scarf attached to it. I can't post a picture because I can't find one and didn't think to take one last night. I am so in love with that bag.

My Love Story

I don't think I've ever shared my story of how Kevin and I first met.

Well here it is. Kevin worked with a friend of mine and I was round at her house one afternoon when Kevin came round to drop off some dvd's for her. I'd met him a few times before but never really fancied him or anything. I'd thought he was ok, not good looking in a Brad Pitt sort of a way but he had something about him.
Anyway a week later, my friend's sister was getting engaged and throwing a party. Kevin came along with his friend and I thought nothing of it until he offered to buy me a drink. I said no because I was driving and didn't want another one, but Kevin persisted and I eventually allowed him to buy me a coke. (yes a coke). Eventually I got ready to go and Kevin asked me if he could have my number, so I gave it to him. He called the next day to see if I wanted to go out for something to eat the following Saturday.

After a few dates, I decided that I wasn't really ready for a relationship, but Kevin seemed so nice and I told him that I wanted to just take things as they come and see how it goes. We finally started seeing each other properly in Septemeber 2006, then when we had been together for only 6 months I had went to Australia to visit my Gran and other relatives. I rang kevin nearly everyday because I missed him so much. It was a test of the relationship. I'll tell you now though, that my being in Australia for a month made us both realise just how much we wanted to be with each other and we've been together ever since. So that's four and a half years almost.

I want to finish off by saying "Happy Valentine's Day Kevin. I love you more and more with every passing day. "

Things I Love about the weekends.

1. Having a Lie in. This was actually in Salou in 2009, but I'm on the bed, so technically it still counts.

2. Being with my gorgeous man.
3. The prospect of being able to wear cute little summer dresses like this one I have soon. (I don't actually have a picture of it yet, but once I do I'll post it up.) But I'd love one of  these.

4. Having a nice soak in the bath(awkwardly in a small bath I might add) with Kevin.

5. Hot Cappucino with not much froth. I normally have my cappucino from Costa.

6. Chilling out with my new book; Gok Wan's Autobiography.

Nails

I am having my nails done on weds, Shelley can't do the foils thing yet but when she can, I'd love this....

Sara's Healthy Menu's - Monday 10 January 2011

It's been a week since 2010 ended and 2011 began, I thought it would be nice to update you on how my new year resolutions have been going.

1 Drink more water. I've been sipping at a 50cl bottle of volvic on a daily basis.
2. I need to get fit. (I know this wasn't included, but it needs to be). As of tonight, I am going to jump on the Orbitrek Cross trainer for at least 20minutes. I want to get rid of my flabby, fat belly, that makes me look like I am 7 Months pregnant. I can't wear tight fitting tops, Well I can but they don't look right with my fat sticking out all over the place. So as of today menus will consist of:

Breakfast for Monday 10 January - 1 Bowl of Kellogs Special K with skimmed milk. 1 Cup of Tea with Skimmed Milk.

Lunch for Monday 10 January - 1 glass of either Fresh Orange Juice or a cup of Green Tea. Soup and a sandwich with Ham and salad.

Dinner for Monday 10 January. 1 Glass of water. 1 Jacket potato with either cottage cheese and baked beans. Scampi and brown rice with lots of vegetables.

Snacks for Monday 10 January. I do not normally snack in between meals. If I do it will be fruit from now on.

New Year Resolutions

Well it's that time of year again, so here goes with this years batch of Resolutions.

1. Blog everyday. Even if it's just a few words or a picture.

2. Drink plenty of water - preferably bottled.

3. Drink Fruit Juice if I haven't got any water to hand instead of Sodas.

4. Start my quest to go back to School and learn a new skill.

5. Learn to love photography.

6. Hopefully Save enough for a Digital Single Lens Reflex camera such as a Sony Alpha, Panasonic Lumix or Canon EOS.

7. Try and get Kevin to spend more time with me...tricky.

8. Find a new job before January is out.

9. Save up for a new car after my holidays.

10. Sort of my finances once and for all!

16 Days of Blogging - Days 11 - 16

16 Days of Blogging - 16 Day Challenge.

Day 11 – What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?

If I found out I was pregnant I would of course have to keep it. I'd never dream of aborting a life. Unless I knew that I would never be able to support the child financially.

Day 12 – The reason you believe you’re still alive today.

Because I have always been lucky enough to have a Guardian Angel in the form of My dear Grandad Hawil to watch over me.

Day 13 – A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough days.

Any Artist or song that reminds me of Laird Kevin or has the ability to be able to chill me out is good enough for me.

Day 14 – Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.

I regret leaving such a good job at Marks and Spencers.

Day 15 – A letter to yourself, tell yourself ANYTHING you think you should know about your life.

Dear Sara Pilling

Make the most of your life....You just never know. Go back to school and learn something new about yourself...

Day 16 – What is in your bag?

My handbag at the moment has allsorts in it. Alien perfume by Thierry Mulger, Some cotton gloves for my always cold hands. 2 purses. One for my cards and notes, the other for loose change. A couple of pens, a hairbrush, my 2011 diary. Bits of makeup. My headphones. My spare phone. My iPhone.

16 Days of Blogging - Day 10

Day 10 – Have you ever thought about giving up on life?

Quite a few times, Yes. But I have always found the strength to keep going, because I know that there are a lot of people around me who would miss me and love me too much.

16 Days of Blogging

Day 09 – Make a playlist to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs.

Human -Killers
Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol
Don't Stop Believing - Journey
Because of You - Gabrielle
Out of Reach - Gabrielle
Hungry Eyes - Eric Carmen
Crash & Burn - Savage Garden
Right Here Waiting - Richard Marx

The reasons why I chose ALL these songs are simple. I listen to these a lot when I'm missing my wonderful Laird Kevin.

Monday, December 20, 2010

16 Day Blogging Challenge - Day 8.

Day 08 – Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit.

There's a few people I'd like to name and shame...I won't mention their names but if they were reading this, then they'd KNOW who they are.

Firstly is an ex of mine. We had been out with mutual friends to celebrate their engagement. I unfortunately got pulled by the police. I had not been drinking, they thought I had and arrested me. My ex was never the same around me after that night. I have only seen him twice since that night four years ago.

Secondly is an ex supervisor of mine. She was a real cow with me and I was secretly pleased when she ended up having a nervous breakdown a couple of months after she left.

16 Day Blogging Challenge - Day 7

Day 07 – Someone who has made your life worth living for.
My wonderful Kevin ( I love you and always will!) My family. My friends.

16 Day Blogging Challenge - Day 6

Day 06 – Something you hope you never have to do.

I am hoping I will never have to go to hospital for anything.

Friday, December 17, 2010

16 Day Blogging Challenge - Day 5

Day 05 – Something you hope to do in your life.

There's a few things I hope to do in my life. But I'll only list a couple here for now.

Firstly is to have the opportunity to buy myself a DSLR and develop my love of photography further.

Secondly, I'd love to have the opportunity to go to New York and San Francisco.

Simples.

16 Day Blogging Challenge - Day 4

I admit it. I forgot to blog yesterday.

Day 04 – Something you have to forgive someone for.

Errrm I suppose I could say I forgive Kevin for being so cranky and uptight recently, due to the amout of stress he's been under at work. Plus he's just found out that he has a trapped nerve in his neck, which makes it the more worse for my poor baby.

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

16 Days of Blogging - Day 3

Day 03 – Something you have to forgive yourself for.

For not being honest about things I have done in the past.

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

16 Days of Blogging - Day 2

Day 2 - Something You Love about yourself.

I don't honestly think there is anything! Seriously!

Music be the food of love

Here's a few songs that remind of certain places and people.

Snow Patrol - Chasing cars. This is mine and Kevin's song. It will always be our song as it reminds me of the time just after we got together and were on a trip out with his brother and girlfriend. We both started singing it and had tears in our eyes afterwards. So it will always be OUR song - no matter what.

Journey - Don't Stop Believing. This reminds of when Kevin was in the process of looking for a flat. I had every belief that he would get one and when he did, this song sprang to my mind.

Anything by Savage Garden will always remind me of the wonderful holidays in Australia with my grandma, aunties Linda, Susie and Uncle Edward and Nichola along with my four beautiful cousins, Caroline, Christina, Joshua and Caitlin (who i've still to meet!)

I said yesterday that I would post a picture everyday. So here's today pic of our temporary cell phone mast monstrosity!

News Update

I have to admit, I've kinda neglected my blog over the past 12 weeks, since the fire at my dad's work. But over the next couple of weeks I will be trying to introduce new things. Hopefully a picture a day will be one feature.

Here's some other things I have planned.

1 A picture a day.
2 Top Ten Tuesday.
3 Words Wednesday
4 Thursday Things
5 Friday Fitties
6 Saturday Sexiness
7 Sunday Review.

I might not actually get to blog everyday though, what with starting my new job, but I promise i'll try and keep up to date.

I know i keep neglecting you....blog.

I finally got my new job sorted and started on Sunday. It's in retail and the shop is called STORE 21
We have a range of kids, ladies, mens, babies, homewares, sweets and toys. I am rather tired today so bare with me. Sunday was tiring as I was in work at 12 and didn't get home until 730pm. I am looking forward to the store opening on friday this week.

Blog Update

I know I've neglected you the past three weeks. We had a fire at the factory so everything has been a lil up in the air and I've not had the time to blog, seeing that there has been so much to sort out.

The factory is now back up and running, thanks to getting a generator, but I'm still working from home because the phone lines have not been connected yet. I'm getting really annoyed and frustrated because of this and I think that if I don't find another job soon or the offices aren't restored I'm going to go nuts.

I don't just mean nuts, I mean like really nuts!
